The most popular kind of wedding is arguably the summer wedding. The idea of getting married when the weather is supposed to be nice is enough to make plenty of people choose a date during July or August.

But whatever time of year you choose for your own big day, you should take inspiration from it in another way as well. For instance your table linen and napkins can accentuate the season you are getting married in. This can bring an extra touch of thoughtfulness to the wedding and make the whole thing gel together in a lovely way.

For example if you have gone against the grain and decided on a winter wedding, why not stick to white for your table decorations? You can always add a touch of colour with your napkins. A festive wedding could have a white table cloth and shocking red napkins for example. With greenery on the tables as well, there will be no denying what time of year it is.

Green napkins can look good at any time of the year, but you can add another splash of colour with table runners as well. An autumn wedding might benefit from a chocolate or copper coloured table runner to bring in familiar browns of the season. Think about the month you will be holding your wedding in to get the best possible colour arrangement you can. A nice finishing touch would be to get some seasonal flowers for each table to help pull the whole thing together.

Looking at the seasons is the best way to get some inspiration if you aren’t sure which colour combination to go for at your wedding. This is an important thing to get right, and if you can focus on the appropriate season you may find it easier than you think.
